My team and I thought about the possibility of putting an algae in the proccesor then throwing the algae in the barge. If the algae falls off the barge and we put it back in the processor, do we get another 6 points or not?

Your sides hp is on the opposing alliances processor so you could not just recycle your own processor algae right away, you could have your hp throw it all the way over your barge to the other side though.
Yeah technicaly, but other sides HP is throwing the algae also it is hard to miss the net. When the object returns from the net you can score and get another 6 points from the processor.
