I posted this in general but it was pretty buried so I thought I’d post it again here. Sorry for redundency.

Tell me about these aluminum extrusions.
I get the concept: you run alluminum through a die that cuts a long bar into a specific shape. But what about the teams that don’t have this capability?? Doesn’t that make our job even harder? Or maybe there’s a specific profile that’s standard and good and buyable. What’s the deal?
Thanks in advance for any info.

Thanks you all for the tips.
As a newby I am skeptical that all of the accessories, rollers, roller cages, guides, etc. will qualify as ‘Additional Hardware’.
Please give me some guidance.

Hey Charlie, welcome to FIRST!
What are you exactly looking to classify as additional hardware? In the manual, there is a list of what you can use and in what amounts.

Who do we get this stuff from?? Is it expensive? I guess I’ll do some research and if there’s not already a responce by the time I get an answer, I’ll post it here.
And to those of you like Joe who loves that we can use as much material as we want, you’re only making me mad!! Though my team isn’t limited by FIRST, we’re definately limited by our nonexistant budget. Maybe I should send chiefdelphi a sponsorship letter? =)
