I saw this “AR” display that the Tampa Bay Lightning used during away games. It would be very cool if the fields to the left and right of the Einstein fields showed something like this
Is that being projected onto a full-size rink? Wow, that is cool!
It wouldn’t be that hard honestly:
- Roll out a big white tarp over the carpet.
- Rent a couple of super bright projectors and hang then over the spectator fields.
- Have them relay a video feed from a camera hung over the Einstein field.
- Keep the existing side-view / score feeds on the led screens.
You could also do something fancy with zebra tags, computer graphics and projection mapping, but I think the “analog” solution would work just fine.
I love this idea, the good seats were taken HOURS before Einstein took place so we were stuck on an adjacent bleacher… woulda been cool to see something like this to help with the experience
The Einstein finals had at max 2 bots on the field with Zebra MotionWorks - I don’t know how feasible this would be with the current adoption

Reminds me of this.
