Andy Mark Worm Box wanted in North central Florida or Georgia

Hello
I’m Looking to borrow an Andy Mark Worm Box from a team that isn’t using theirs. Our team needs one however Andy Mark is back ordered. I’m from Gainesville Florida and I’m willing to travel anywhere a couple of hours away to get the the gear box. I would like to pick it up Monday the 28th if possible.

I would even consider driving to Georgia.

Thank you for you help

Is this being seen by people? When I check the new posts I don’t see it.

Thanks

Have you called AndyMark yet?

Our team called late last week, or early this week. We were told that AM was waiting for a shipment of parts, that should have arrived on Monday. Apparently the missing part delivery is now at least a week late, as they are still out of stock.

We need four for the most critical portion of our robot, and are now feverishly looking for alternatives. Time is getting short.

Yes we have called AndyMark. Their back order date keeps getting moved back as the previous date expires. Thats why I’m willing to travel a couple hours to get one. Its tough to build a robot with missing key components

If you can’t find a team to loan you a WormBox in a reasonable time, you could consider this (we did earlier in the season).

AndyMark has almost all of the individual hardware pieces for the WormBox in stock (i.e. Side plates, spacers, and even the worm and worm gears themselves). The only piece currently listed as out-of-stock is the output shaft. You could try ordering each individual part and then making up your own output shaft using the CAD information AndyMark posts on their website. The AM WormBox page should list all of the necessary components and hardware you need.

I hope this helps you along.

Leeland

A big Thank You to Chris Fultz Cyber Blue - Team 234 from Indianapolis. He offered to mail one to me. We hope to see you on top of the pyramid.

Thanks

AndyMark has posted the layout drawing for the output shaft. If you have access a lathe and a mill, it would be easy to replicate it.

WormBoxes just came back in stock - just got the email.
