a few weeks ago, we ordered mk4 swerve with falcon pinions since sds didn’t have neo pinions in stock at that time. we are going to cut the neo pinions from EDM but there are two different steel for 32DP 15T 8mm bore in different websites: 1117 steel at andymark and 4140 steel at SDS. which one should we use?

i don’t think it’s an error since the layout prints of the gear from andymark says 1117 steel

Use the SDS 4140 steel. It’s slightly higher quality.
It doesn’t really matter which steel you pick, the difference in quality is not that big.

i should have asked this question before. we went with 1117. but we’ll cut from 4140 too (probably)
