Just kinda wondering what most people are leaning twords. Our team is going for the “This has nothing to do with our robot” approach
Our team is going with that approach too! Wow!
er, wow…, what a kawinkiedink…
Yup, the good old “This has nothing to do with OUR robot, but it does have to do with A robot in real life situations…” muahahaha
Ours has neither. A-hahahaha!
with our team the anamation can’t have too much of our own robot in it because no one knows what it will definitely look like untill 2-3 days until ship.
Thats why they give you that extra few weeks…
We are going for the “This hasn’t been done before” approach just like we have for the last two years. Hopefully I can help my team out but this college thing seems a little time consuming.
We don’t have an animation
Next year…I’m going to make one…I know what I’m doing but I just don’t feel like doing it. So I’ve decided to just blow up a teacup or whatever. YAY! Explosions are fun.

Do you realize how freaky you look from your picture? Blowing up teacups fits you just right.
FIRST had sent out a memo saying that they wanted teams expressing what FIRST meant to the team instead of just showing the game itself (and those animations in the past really did look tedious after a while, so I’m all for it) but the winner showed the robot and the game. So the memo was a waste of time.
We did one that was based on our history as an original team and how using that history and lessons of the past helped us to design last years robot.
WE ARE DOING SOMETHING DEALING WITH “ICE AGE” THE MOVIE. SOME ANIMATION LIKE IT IN THE MOVIE! ITS GREAT!
our animation has little of everything…hehehe…you’ll just have to see.
Our animation is about brainstorming what to do for the robot. (ohhhh the infamous sims bubble )
Our Animation is simple since this year we are a rookie team. Instead of attempting to create real robots(which would be a bit difficult since we didn’t start until the second week) we created fake ones that have not been invented yet but have a significant place in the future(not competitions). We are basically showing a time line of what came out of Dean Kamen’s idea with FIRST that helped everybody in the end.
