As a part of the Robot Chicks Union’s FIRST Summer Blitz (our summer celebration of our 1 year anniversary), we would like to recognize these men & women for fortifying the female voice in the FIRST Robotics Competition. We realize all the hard work that they put into FIRST and the RCU, and these articles are our way of saying thanks to these wonderful people.
To be chosen as an Illuminary it shows that all the members of the Robot Chicks Union regard these men & women in the highest standing and want all of FIRST to know just how great they are!

you and the ladies should consider Natalie Lowell of X-Rite Corp. She was given a special volunteers award at the WMR- a great choice because she was a driving force behind turning the awesome invitational into a regional. She is a great example for technology-oriented females everywhere.
We already have the list of Illuminaries for the year 2001, but if you wish, you can give us her contact information and we can see if she would like to help the RCU; after all, we always need help on the midwestern front since Kristen & I are both in the Northeast.

How many people do you have from the Northeast? Midwest? South? West? Did you guys deicde these or did everyone kindof talk about it together (I can’t access the forums for RCU i lost my password)… just wondering…
I’ll be launching the new site the beginning of July that will have the numerical breakdown of the regions with people’s profiles. I just have so many profiles to sort through! Eeek! Though by taking a quick glance at the information, it appears we have the majority from the North East, followed by the Midwest. We have the fewest from the teams on the West coast (hint to all the west coast chicks out there!!!).
