Any swerve in-stock that are actually good right now?

my team is looking for a good swerve kit. we’ve been trying to get one for a long time but the mk4i that we’ve been trying to get has not come back in stock for the entire time we’ve been looking to get it. So were wondering if anyone knows of any other swerve drives that perform well and are actually in stock. price is not an issue

The Mk4i modules seem to be in stock right now on SDS’s website, according to their spreadsheet (3 day lead time).

It is in stock at AndyMark right now.

I think that’s misleading that it shows in stock before configuring. After configuring, I’ve yet to find something in stock.

So our sponsor attempted to buy it from their website and their credit card got stolen

just about to say this!

Not to disparage your sponsor’s experience, but we have ordered directly from their website without issues or fraud. Our experiences with buying from @PatrickW have been very good.

I find it highly unlikely the the folks at SDS are in some way connected with credit card numbers getting stolen. Do y’all have actual cause to suspect them or just a temporal coincidence? Because typically card skimmers don’t immediately hit cards after they acquire them for just this reason.

I personally wasnt the one that sent the link to the sponsor, i just put in the part order from andymark and someone transfered it to SDS after andymark was out of stock. I know we reached out to @PatrickW but im not in control of the communication on that front.

Eek you’re right, sorry!

I just went to swervedrivespecialties.com and created L2 MK4i’s and added them to my cart with no problem. Sorry for not doing a better job with the AndyMark site earlier.

I’m sorry you had this experience. I think it is unlikely that our website compromised your credit card information. We are using Shopify for eCommerce. Is there a reason you think it was stolen by our website?

Modules purchased from us currently ship within 3 business days except for modules configured with Kraken pinions. Those will be shipping once we receive the Kraken pinions.

I dont have the info. that is the extent of my knowledge

Just echoing how unlikely this scenario is. Patrick’s website probably never had the chance to scam you.

I’m willing to bet the payment gateway doesn’t share much more than a “paid” acknowledgement. (Unless your sponsor is placing orders over the phone 90s style…)

Swerve X is great. We used it the past year to great success. I like it over the SDS modules because it is easier to service.

We are a big fan of MAX Swerve, and they just went back in stock. These could be modified for usage with krakens, and will be compatible with vortexes. Very similar performance to MK4i, so close that they have the same top speed when racing two robots side by side with different swerves.

Looks like most configurations of Swerve X are also in stock:

Just a thing to remember for maxswerve, the stock wheels were iffy, but they’ve come out with new ones, but most teams buy the aluminum wheels to replace the plastic ones. And I haven’t heard anything about the new wheels, good or bad.

These are the wheels most teams who run maxswerve use, or the TTB version

But other than that, I’ve heard good things about maxswerve.
