After trying to figure out the math myself, I figured there was someone who had already likely done the math to find what each stage length should be for the andymark climber in a box given that we want a max height to be 48in and a min height to be under the stage core (using a 2 stage climber, given we’re mounting it off 4 inches from the ground). If anyone knows the best lengths or has any tools to calculate it that would be great!
I made something for someone else that may be of interest to you. All you need to put in is how much the very very top of the hook needs to extend to and it configures everything else for you. You won’t get to choose specific lengths but it may be a good jumping off point. For instance we used it to test when the climber was mounted 4 inches off the ground and went to max extension so we put in 44” in the max climber extension configuration.
Along with Nick’s design, I’ll throw in the one we use as well. Nick’s has the max height as the configurable variable, while ours has the tube length (which is the same for all three tubes). One or the other may be more useful to you, depending on your preferences. We’ve included the ability to extend and retract the climber and reverse the direction of the hook as well, both of which have been useful during the design phase.
