Another team gave this to us and we want to print more possibly with some alterations. I know its something for wire management and works with Wago Connectors and zip ties. Does anyone know what the cad for this is?
It looks to be some kinda of CAN anchor if I had to take a best guess. I think thats a team specific print however that looks to be pretty easy to recreate in any CAD program if you have pliers
Yeah, I just started Cading. I don’t even know what team gave it too us because I wasn’t on the team then and the mentors don’t remember.
I’ve got some WAgo 221s around and, if you absolutely don’t want to try CADing it yourself, I can either help you do it or CAD it up for you. (I’ll need a few more pics than that.)
Honestly, this is about as low complexity as a CAD design for FRC comes. I really would encourage you to tackle this within your team as a learning exercise, but I also don’t want to let you starve if you just need a darn fish and don’t want to learn how to fish.
Edit to add: This one actually seems more useful to me for a lot of use cases, using the inline 221s.
And piles of them on printables, including some with integrated zip tie holes.
I finished CADing it yesterday and a I also made a slightly bigger version for the bigger connectors we have. It was’t that hard to do. It was good practice for today since I’m on my teams cad subteam
That looks like a custom carrier mounts for Wago 221-412 splicing connectors. You can purchase similar items from Wago at this link. We use the inline mounts with strain relief for added peace of mind.
Our team also was given one of these. I think it was from team 9101, but I could be wrong.
