We’re having trouble finding a source to purchase them. A part number or vehicle this part is used in, would also help.
Thanks in advance!

Note: this years gyro is different than past years. The packaging is different as well as the specifications.

Thanks for the offer, but as Dave pointed out this year’s are different. Buying these sure seems more difficult than it needs to be.
Maybe we should start a petition for FIRST to sell spare parts kits (basically a regular kit minus the RC, OI and radio modems). It sure would have made things easier this year!
The datasheet is available at www.systron.com. There is a whitepaper for FIRST linked from the homepage . The part number and specs are listed on the last page of the PDF.
I didn’t see anything about distributors though, maybe you’d have better luck borrowing one from a team that isn’t using it.
The part number (AQRS-00075-FIRST) for the sensor was created especially for FIRST. You can not get this part from just any vendor. The Systron Donner rep told us to contact FIRST about getting this part. We sent an e-mail to [email protected] as reccommended in this thread on the jive forums. As you might expect we have not heard back from FIRST. We are trying to order a similar part from the supplier (Systron Donner).
I have received a couple of PM’s about teams willing to give us theirs. If it turns out that we can’t purchase one ourselves, we may just take you up on that offer.
Thanks for all the help!
Did everyone receive there connector in the mail for the sensor.
We can’t find ours, and don’t remember seeing it.
Apparently the proper connector is no longer available, so they sent a 3x2 crimp connector housing instead. It fits but we had to tape it in place.
Thanks for the responce. So what you are saying is the they want us to use 3 crimp type connector pins to wire it.
We soldered our wires on, the taped around it.
Works good, passed inspection.
The connector they sent uses regular 0.1" female snap-in crimps. The 3x2 pin housing fits in the socket but it still wiggles a little. Solder and heat shrink would probably work fine in a pinch.
We cut away the black plastic sheath, soldered on the leads, then applied epoxy generously.
Zero problems.
