Apollo Space Program code on GitHub

I found this link this morning for all of the code to run the Apollo program. Someone retyped it from pictures and put it on GitHub. It is amazing to see what they did with the small computers they had in the 1950 and 60’s. All of the safety and everything that went into this program. You will also find that the programmers back then also had a since of humor.

I hope that some of you dig into this and enjoy. It was a little before my time but it is still very cool.

It’s incredible that we landed on the moon with a computer that’s thousands of times less powerful than a modern smartphone. Puts everything in perspective in terms of how far we’ve come in 48 years. They took “Prepare to take flight” literally back then.
