LET’S GO ARCHIE, LET’S GO!!!

I’m always excited about the championships.
Alot of familiar teams from last year.
As I learned from last year (when Archie was considered the toughest division. Perhaps ever) Just because you don’t have the strongest division doesn’t mean Archie doesn’t have a chance to take it all.
WHole divisions don’t go to Einstien. A three team allaince does and that team could be better than what comes out of those “tougher” divisions ( As Archie learned last year).

Can’t wait, second archie year in a row for 1138. =D

Can’t wait!!

Woot for userbars!

lol

I think this is the first time we have been in Archimedes.

But this division doesn’t look weak at all. We have metal being motioned towards a flock of chickens dressed in pink doing a thunder dance while being chased by a swarm of KillerBees, while the chief watches a technical panther, who is stalking a hookie but carefully eyes the guard which is directly behind Mr Roboto … who views his newfound home in amazement :yikes: and an eagle playing chess with the cat just eXclaimed a cyclone is moving in!

Its going to be fun!

ARCHI - MEDES!!!

I’m soo pumped! I’ve even written our division a story!

Everyone over here in SoCal is excited. See you all at Championship!

ARCHIMEDES = SOOO AWESOME

Jai Archimedes Ki Jai

lol im with you on that

is there a difference between each division? i have no clue man. i was thinking it was separated by what part of the US they were from, but that isnt it.

Teams get sorted into their division by their team number, If you look at the list most of the time every fourth team is in the same division (where that doesn’t happen theres usually a team pending and they will fill in the missing spot for each division).

If you look at the 8 lowest number teams:
1 Galileo
4 Archimedes
9 Curie
11 Newton
16 Galileo
20 Archimedes
22 Curie
25 Newton

every fourth team

At least thats how I understand it working.

this is when i notice that i’m not good with patterns.

has anyone compiled the stats to see how many:

regional winners
EI winners
chairmans winners
past national winners
regional award winners

are in our division? or any other helpful stats to stack our division against the others? think it would be pretty interesting to see

This was in the Official 2006 Championship Divisions Thread

Division Winners Finalists Chairmans
Archimedes 19 11 11
Newton 28 7 10
Galileo 25 9 4
Curie 22 11 7

We have 330, last year’s national champions and Southern California Regional Finalists.

Here is a list of the teams that are regional champions.

4-Southern California Regional
60-AZ Regional
174-Buckeye Regional
217-Detroit Regional
233-Boston Regional
271-SBPLI Long Island Regional
343-NASA/VCU Regional
375-NYC Regional
1057-Peachtree Regional
1138-Southern California Regional
1184-Chesapeake Regional
1279-New Jersey Regional
1414-Peachtree Regional
1568-Boston Regional
1610-NASA/VCU Regional
1743-Pittsburgh Regional
1756-Midwest Regional
1816-Wisconsin Regional
1880-NYC Regional

The division has 2 of the 3 winners from VCU. Ought to make for some fun times.

I’m sitting in my class waiting for the boredom to end and putting together different teams on alliances. We may have fewer “Awesome Robots” but the stategy coming out of these matches should make for some fun times Friday night, trying to figure out who you want to be alligned with.

Last year it had all three. :stuck_out_tongue:

Found some more time to get EI and Chairman award winners in our division. TGSB! (Thank God for Spring Break):stuck_out_tongue:
Chairmans

Strangely, after going through the FIRST site and looking at all the regional awards, I’m missing 2 chairman award winning team, because I only have 9, and the earlier post said there are 11.

Can’t wait 'till the nationals, this will be 1549’s first year there!
Our robot is excellent at defense.

I love the Archimedes field. It rox the sox of all… muahaha.

ARCHI-MEDES!

Going to be awesome. Looks like there are some excellent teams in our division. See you all there!
