My team is looking into buying PoE switches to power radios and limelights over traditional Ethernet switch and power + PoE injector. I tried to look at the game manual but can’t really tell if these are legal or not.
Radio power is generally fairly well regulated in the rules. So no, you wouldn’t be able to power that from a PoE switch.
That said, passive PoE (12V pass-through) would be the only form of PoE supported, as standard 802.3(whatever the letters are) is 48V and not compliant with electrical rules.
Of course, this is based on past year’s rules. We won’t know specifics for 2025 until kickoff in a few weeks.
They actually announced that active PoE will be legal in 2025.
However, that won’t help limelights or radios, as neither accept active PoE signals currently.

Why not flip on DIP #1 and DIP #2 for PoE output on the radio?

Fair point. I didn’t want to misquote it, so I left it as “wait til kickoff”
