We have a couple roborio 2’s and a roborio 1.
We have tried a couple of times to get the roborio 1 running, but with no joy.
Is it possible to use a roborio 1 in 2025 frc in a devolopment robot? (We develop in python).
Probably. It was last year. You need to confirm in the Robot rules. It is quite specific
We have all the 2025 software running on a Roborio 1 based on CTRE swerve.

Yes, the roborio 1 is still an allowed robot controller. That said, you may run into memory issues depending on how much you’re asking it to do

Agree. I would plan on disabling the web server on a Roborio 1.

Thanks. We won’t use the roborio 1 in competition. I haven’t inspected the rules.
I have had no issues with it with the web server enabled or disabled, although that’s for a bot with 8 thrusters and not swerve modules

Can’t speak to competition legality (although I would imagine it’s legal) but I can definitely confirm that the Rio 1 can run 2025 software since that’s what we test our vendordep on at Lumyn Labs
