Just wondering if we were using the same Innovation First control board as last year? and, if so are there restrictions on changing the programing?

Yes we are using the same boards as last year.
And yes, we don’t want people reprograming them (double negative?).
Basically, we don’t want to get into the whole programming problem in the short time we have to run this competition. It is hard enough as it is.
Maybe in future years, but not yet in 2000.

Nick, I identify with you! I think I’m going to become well…a not-well-liked person on my team, as now it seems my official role as electrical girl is telling people:
‘No, that won’t work, only 2 speed controllers.’
‘No, the battery’s fuse won’t like that.’
‘No, you can’t control that thing with those joysticks.’
Everyone has these great ideas and I just have to be the person to tell them they won’t work! Like I said…frustrating, isn’t it?

I know, most of these things could be fixed with some simple program mods. But rules are rules.
