Are you flying to Atlanta?

On a different topic, one of the highlights of traveling to Atlanta for me is seeing so many other teams in the airport, especially if they are on the same airplane. MOE always travels wearing their green shirts so should be easy to spot - if anyone else is flying out Wed morning for the Philly airport, say hello!

I switch planes in Philly on Wed morning - I hope to see some green!

is andy flying also? or is he taking the train again?

973 is flying. Don’t know if we’ll be in orange though. If anyone recognizes me at the airport I’m happy to chat.

Not out of Philly and not into Atlanta until late. I hope to see some MOE green other times though

Flight is from Flint -> Atlanta after I work a nice 8 hour day because I dont want to use a 3rd vacation day. (Being a coop means I dont have many vacation days)

I am with you with not wanting to use a third day. I will be flying from South Bend to meet the rest of the team that will be taking the bus.

The 4 Hawaii teams participating left by boat 1 week ago and should be there by Tuesday afternoon. :yikes:

nah. 9-10 hours direct flight!
Team 3105 from the Phillipines has to travel much farther, probably the farthest from the West. I think about 17 if it was a direct flight (but it wont be).

All the yongins will be in orange.

waldo is flying out on wednesday  but we’re not going to be in our jerseys. they don’t come out until thursday

i think our flight gets in around 7:45

This isn’t even remotely joking. I was on the same plane as 365 returning from Atlanta to Philadelphia last year. The whole rear half of the plane was neon green.

And that was probably just the shoe laces. The rest was just a blinding glare that probably bounced around off the clouds.

I’m flying to Israel for work tomorrow and then flying directly to Atlanta to be there for Wednesday around 3:00. It’s going to be a long week :stuck_out_tongue: .

Team 931 will be flying 6am from St. Louis and arriving at 9ish to Atlanta. A whole day of sightseeing, can’t wait. Hope to catch some teams at the airport.

1511 will be getting in around the same time. We leave Rochester at 6:00 with an FLL team bound for the World Festival!

Unfortunately, we won’t all be dressed in red camo (not the best thing to wear in an airport :P), but never the less, we will all be sporting red, so expect a similar situation to MOE if you’re on our plane, only with red instead of green

Is there really a direct flight from Oahu to Georgiaor in this case any east coast states ???

Delta has a nonstop HNL-ATL.

Team 980 is arriving throughout Wed and Thurs. Two mentors (volunteers) booked flights arriving Wed. evening before the team came off of the waiting list last Thurs. A few students and a mentor are on a red-eye, arriving Wed. morning. A few more students and a mentor are arriving Wed. night. One of our students is diverting from an East Coast college tour to join us on Thurs. afternoon.

I guess you might say that there will be a Team 980 convergence in Atlanta next week…except we’re not all in the same hotel.:frowning:

I guess I’ll wear my team shirt in some form or another on Wednesday when I fly in from CT to ATL since I’ll be wearing my Volunteer shirt the remainder of the extended weekend.

Pretty good Cory. That’s what we’re flying on…
I just envy those teams that pull up at the main entrance to the GWCC with either a greyhound or trailer (costwise).

Yep, direct flight to Atlanta from Honolulu on the newly branded Delta 747-400. Arrive at 5:35 am which is equivalent to 11:35 pm. We’re going to be zombies on Wednesday!

I feel for 3105 from the Philippines who are coming from a time zone 12 hours ahead of Atlanta. That’s got to be some major jet lag…
