Where are all these hard core FIRST folks I thought were out there?
We have a FIRST pool with $100 and bragging rights on the line and so far we have SINGLE DIGIT entries (and that includes 2 that are from Mike Martus and myself – two who cannot even win the $100).
GET WITH THE PROGRAM!
Honestly, it was a lot of fun making my choices. My stomach was churning as I had to pick my 16 quarter finalists from each division – who to let put on the list and who to leave off.
It was a very hard thing – exciting too. When I got to the part where 469 and 47 defeated 60 and 157 in the Grand Finals, my heart was pounding in my chest
I encourage everyone to download a copy of the spread sheet, enter you picks and mail the file off to [email protected]
P.S. Bruce Risdon, our resident designer and Visual Basic Guru, said he will have the program that posts team scores (based on the entries submitted in the pool) ready to start posting on our website Tues. evening. If you want your favorite teams to show up on the leader board, get your votes in… …NOW!
I’m too depressed to enter the pool,
I had the essay ready and I almost finished with the team picks
but at the last minute on Wednesday one of the teams I support,
Team334 NYC, got canned by the school principal.
The problem appeared to be a mix-up in the student release forms and when was the forms submitted to the principal. Enough said.
Right now there is a lot of very sad Team334 students who had dreams of attending the first ever National competition for their school. (yip the school’s first National)
Well life goes on…
They will miss all the Arhimedes Division Teams. They do want to shared the button they created just for this years National.
