I’m surprised no one has mentioned this yet, but today at the LA regional, the speaker at the second day opening ceremonies announced that next year, there will be an Arizona regional. This will solve a lot of the travel problems that teams like Gila Monsters and Kingman face.

My team has talked informally about possibly going to the Arizona regional next year instead of San Jose, just to see a new area, meet some new teams, support a new regional. However, we may not because we have friends on so many teams up north. Just curious if there are any other socallers considering the same thing.
We would love to have as many teams as possible at the Phoenix regional! My two main questions for now are ‘where exactly’ and ‘how many will fit’!
Hmm, that’s a both good and bad news. Good that there will be more regional, bad that the San Jose regional will get lonelier…
Two years ago, Gila Monsters stopped coming to the San Jose regional, and now Bionic Bulldog might stop coming. It is kind of our team’s unofficial goal to finally break the Kingman-BCP tag’s two year streak of winning the Silicon Valley regional and get first place:p Oh well, maybe we can get on with our second unofficial goal of gathering up money to attend the LA regional next year.
Well, we will definately welcome all the people that choose to come to Arizona. I am sure that we will have more than enough room to cater all.
