ATTN: AOL emails

If you have an aol.com e-mail, you most likely are not receiving any emails from the forums, administrators, etc.

I am working with VenturesOnline on getting the problem resolved, but as it stands now, chiefdelphi.com cannot send emails to aol.com without them getting bounced back.

So, if you have e-mail notification on, and are not getting e-mail notifications… that is probably the case.

I will reply here when the issue has been fixed.

Thanks,
Brandon

i was having that problem today too brandon. i sent in a help ticket and they said it was system wide. it’s all because of an idiot spammer who was spamming emails off of their severs.

Yeah, I figured…

hopefully they’ll get it worked out with AOL.

They never responded to my ticket, however

ugh, still ain’t workin:mad: this is getting really annoying on a webmasters standpoint

We seem to be back up and running again brandon. here is what they posted on voinfo.net

We recently had an IP block from AOL on our servers ‘Liberty’ and ‘Phoenix’.
AOL has told us that reverse DNS is one of the reasons for getting blocked. They have not provided us with any other information on why these two servers main IPs are blocked. We have received no SPAM reports from AOL that have not been resolved, so either they did this without notification or they notified Verio and the notifications were not forwarded. We have proceeded under the assumption that it is because of reverse DNS and not for any specific spamming complaints.

Verio apparently did not delegate reverse DNS for us on those two server main IPs, so we have changed both servers main IP’s to one of ours and set up reverse DNS.

The reverse DNS has been fixed and tested on both servers. So the problem should be resovled.

We apoligize for any inconvenience this has caused.

i haven’t had any problems today:cool:
