Hi,
I just want help from you to add voice to a presentation made in Autodesk Inventor 9. Please suggest me the ways by which, during the presentation a running commentary sort of voice can be added.
Thanks
Dilip
I haven’t worked with Inventor too much but this is how I would do it:
-figure out how to export your presentation as a video
-open it up in premiere / windows movie maker / final cut / your video editor of choice
-record and add a commentary track (or record with your sound editor of choice such as Sound Recorder for windows, then import it into the video editor)
I don’t know if you can add commentary within Inventor…
Thanks for the information.
How about the software Maya. Can I get the sound recorded along with the presentation in Maya ? If no what else package can be used for the same ?
You should be able to add audio into Maya, but if it works like it does in 3dsMax (very poorly), do what cdawzrd said and use Premier or something of that nature that gives you more flexibility and is more user friendly than the audio thing integrated into the 3d modeling program.

You definitely can save the .avi from Inventor, import it into a movie-editing program and add the audio there. I just did a little test using iMovie which worked fine. I made a really little example:
TowerAnimation.mov.zip (23.1 KB)
TowerAnimation.mov.zip (23.1 KB)
Here are some programs that would do it:
starred ones are freeware or widely available
Windows:
Adobe Premiere
Windows Movie Maker*
Ulead VideoStudio
DDClip Pro
RAD Video Tools*
Pinnacle Systems (don’t know the exact name of their software)
Vegas Studio
VCD Cutter*
Macintosh:
Final Cut Pro
iMovie*
Adobe Premiere
Hope this helps.
Good information. I thank you all. I am learing Adobe Premiere. Will come back to you if any problem.
Thanks a lot.
