Are you excited about the 2020 Infinite Recharge season? Start your planning process this year in CAD. Autodesk just posted the new kit of parts and field models (https://www.autodesk.com/education/competitions-and-events/first/recommended-software#download). They are available in file types for Fusion 360, Inventor, and STEP. Use the files to design your robot and then test drive it using Synthesis (https://synthesis.autodesk.com/). All the Autodesk software (https://www.autodesk.com/education/competitions-and-events/first/recommended-software) is also available for free to students, educators, and mentors. Not sure how to design something in CAD? We have a class for learning CAD to build a robot (https://academy.autodesk.com/course/133777/fusion-360-first-robotics-competitions)! Get all these resources from Autodesk.com/first (http://autodesk.com/first). Autodesk is an official FIRST Kit of Parts Crown Supplier.
I will also be posting some information on constraints and joints that have been added to the field model to simulate the motion of this years game.
