When you’re scoring power cells in autonomous, would you score in the opponent’s power port or would you shoot it across the field because you can’t cross into the opponent’s sector during autonomous.
You start on the side of the field opposite of the driver station wall in your opponent’s Sector. You shoot from there into your goal which is in your opponent’s sector.
G3. During AUTO, no defense. During AUTO, a ROBOT’s BUMPERS may not break the plane of their ALLIANCE’s SECTOR (see Figure 3-3.)
Did you download before 6pm EST yesterday? The encrypted manual was updated about that time.
So you’re just supposed to yeet it into your power port without crossing the opponent’s sector?
Your power port is in the opponent’s sector. You start there during autonomous. You can reload from your reloading section in your sector.
3.2 - Zones and Markings (to define sectors, placement of alliance loading station and power port)
G3 - You may not enter your sector during autonomous.
G9 - Balls may not be shot sector to sector.

So let’s say it is guaranteed your alliance will get 9 balls in auto. Could you have a robot turning the color wheel during auto to set for stage 2 3 or is it best to wait for teleop?
My understanding of the rules is that 29 power cells must be scored to earn the rotation points
hm… it has to go in the order. Got it
That’s right, wasn’t there something about the Power Port lights up a pattern when the color wheel is ready to be rotated?
You don’t need to turn the color wheel to go from Stage 1 to Stage 2. Teleop starting does that for you.
My bad on wording, I meant readying for stage 3. But seems like you’d still have to wait for your alliance to score 20 more balls before it even works.
Although assuming I am reading the rules right, you first have to score at least 9 balls. So if your alliance scores 0 balls in Auto, you need to score 29 before you can turn the CONTROL PANEL.
That’s correct.
If you look at the immediately preceding discussion, the assumption was that the 9 in auto was guaranteed.
