If you place a switch in a custom dashboard, would it be possible to read the switches value during autonomous and run a specific autonomous routine based on it’s state?
I do not know about a switch on the dashboard, but you can read one from the cypress. We did this last year and it worked well. Check out the vid at 2:00
No, the dashboard only receives data. Most teams use something on the joystick (like the throttle) or attached to the cypress (and the result shown on the dashboard). Some teams also put dip switches on the robot itself.
