Can you just wire up two motors to the battery or do you need a resistor or something else to smooth out the power between two motors? Thanks for your help.
If the wire runs running to each motor are about the same length, then they both will see the same voltage when wired in parallel. However, due to slight variances in motor and gear construction, each one may turn at different speeds. I think that the differences should be fairly small and be not noticeable when they are both loaded.

There is no problem running motors in parallel. Resistors in series with motor leads are not on the allowed materials list.
