Balls Stuck Under Bridge

Won’t balls as the game progresses get stuck under the bridges? And prevent their operation.

What does FIRST plan to do about this?

Check out this video provided by FRC.

I believe that there is a piece of polycarbonate under the bridge that acts as a ramp for the balls to slide out. Based on this, they shouldn’t get stuck

If only we could avoid these 1-answer threads…
sigh

EDIT: [strike]3[/strike] 4 people answered this all in the same minute. Nice.

There is a ramp under each side of the bridge cabled to the bridge supports. When the bridge goes down on one side, the ramp comes up on the other side to help balls roll out from under the bridge.

This is shown on the official field drawings–look for assembly drawing no GE-12017, or look at the Field Tour Videos on YouTube, I think it is video 5.

Thanks for your quick answers.

The mockup field we had in Northern California did not have the piece of protective plastic under the bridge.
