Yeah, I’ve seen that stuff too David, but you have to take some things into consideration:
In any big event like this, there will always be at least one dissenter. Lucky for us  we have the internet and these people can have their opinions heard, no matter how stupid they may be.
This is not meant to bash any posters here on CD, but there are several adults at theITquestion who have well over 2,000 posts! If these people have that much time on their hands, they’re more than likely formulating their own unsupported opinions about things they hear. FIRST happens to be a topic of discussion there, so we get pulled in automatically.
With the unveiling 11 hours away, the posting there is sure to be more than ever, and we all know how much traffic they get becuase of a link here from their boards. Anyway, I just ignore these people when they start talking negatively about things they don’t know (FIRST, and IT), they have obviously never experienced FIRST first-hand, and hopefully never will.
I completely agree… these people have way too much time on their hands and obviously have no idea about FIRST and the impact it has on the next generation. Maybe they’ll start to notice when we graduate college and take their jobs because they can’t keep up with us… then they might wish that they would have paid attention. Until then, just smile and nod and think “I’m better than you!” Because we are.
