Looking at the team list, you have 5002/5002B listed as Rat Rod Robotics, but they’re Dragon Robotics. Rat Rod Robotics is 5022. So I was wondering which team was going to be at this event, for the sake of my own curiosity.
The 4576 Red Nation Robotics bot was climbing. The other robot (think it was 3843 RoboRacers) clipped them while trying to drive to their climb. They then accidentally turned and drove right up under the 4576 bot, pushing it up as well. I believe the question was whether it violated G14 since the bottom bot was pushing the top bot up during its climb.
G14. Don’t climb on each other. Unless attempting to right a fallen (i.e. tipped over) ALLIANCE partner, ROBOTS may neither fully nor partially support the weight of other ROBOTS on the same ALLIANCE strategically or repeatedly.
Violation: RED CARD
Since the 4576 bot started and continued its climb throughout, was not “lifted” intentionally and the fact that the rope was completely tightened in its climber, it would have been a good climb regardless of the robot interactions.
So my understanding is that it was not considered “strategic” and therefore the climb was considered good.
