Battle O' Baltimore 2

August 9, Baltimore MD

The Battle O’ Baltimore was well received in it’s first year and will be even better the second time around. It will be at a roomier venue. The Park School will ber our hosts. The Park School has a huge gym! We will take the first 24 teams to register for this August 9 event.

The website for our event is www.battleobaltimore.com .

In the interest of cost saving measures the fee is rolled back to 150 early registration/200 late registration.

Please sign up quickly we are already registering teams!

Oh and by the way—the crab theme remains!

1923 will definitely look into attending BoB again! We loved the event, and I hope the team can make it down again.

Look forward to seeing you there again Team 1923!!!

MOE 365 is planning to attend! We loved the way you incorporated the crabs into Rack N Roll last year!

See you in August!

I doubt we will do another summer/fall prototype bot so we should be able to make it, thoughI will be there even if my team is unable come. Should I contact Julie as the website implies in order to volunteer?

Look for updated contact information for volunteering later this week.
Thanks.

Our volunteer coordinator for the 2008 Battle O’ Baltimore is Paul Harris. Contact information is available at the BoB website, http://BattleOBaltimore.com/contact.php.

The registration for the Battle O" Baltimore is going well! We have an awesome selction of teams that have registered. It should be a highly competitive event. We still have 3 of the 24 spaces open. Many teams have exressed interest in registering so if you want in get registered ASAP.

I must correct the date posted in my previous post. To provide more timely information to wait listed teams plase provide payment by July 15 to avoid being replaced by a waitlisted team

NEMO (Non-Engineering Mentor Organization) will host a “meet and greet” for all NEM’s attending BoB at lunchtime. Robyn Needel from Team 768 will facilitate.
Encourage your NEM’s and parents to attend!

Is BWI the closest major Airport to Battle 'O Baltimore?

yes

OK, great. Thanks Greg.
Maybe I’ll keep up the insanity of a season of traveling all over the country for competitions & show up this year.

The music fest Jenny posted is tempting me to come down there as well as just for the competition.

Southwest usually has the best deals on direct flights between Hartford and B-more (but you usually won’t see these thru some of the sites like Orbitz).
BWI is about 30 minutes drive to Park School, depending on rush hour traffic.

There is public transport from BWI on the light rail.

Nearest stop to Park School is Falls Road. You would need to have someone pick you up there.

I believe the hotel block rooms reserved by the organizers have all been claimed.
All 24 teams have paid. See the list here: http://battleobaltimore.com/
