BattleCry@WPI 5

A couple of corrections regarding BC5…it is now a 1 1/2 day comp, starting on Fri afternoon (18 Jun). And we have grown from 26 to 30 to 36 and will now accept 42 teams. Open registration starts at 0800 EDT on 30 Apr. As usual, competitors will be treated to 10 free event t-shirts per team, free dinner on Fri night, our precedent-setting big screen video enhancements (including slo-mo, instant replay, video interviews, team recording ports, etc), and guaranteed, all team selection into finals. Low cost on-campus dorm space is available for over-nighting.

Check out www.wpi.edu/+battlecry for more info.

Ken I cant wait to be there. Is Brad bringing the cable crew again?

I can’t wait!! Friday is our school’s last day of exams but it seems as if you’re starting late enough for everyone to get there, or i can just re-arrarange my exams
See everyone there!

Do you know how much lodging will cost? I’m trying to convince our coordinator to let the people who are going there on Friday to stay overnight instead of driving back home.

Good luck getting over-nighter approved! Currently, on-campus dorm rooms (2 beds-2 people) are available at $44/night. We will have on- and off-campus housing options posted on the BC site early next week. We hope to have several campus facilities (bowling alley, campus center, CRUD tables (?), etc) available for folks on Fri night–should be fun.

Glad to see that you 2-time BattleCry victors are coming back!

Ken

Nuzz, Absolutely! Video stuff should be better than ever. cya

BattleCry is on my 18th birthday! (And I’m coming)

The list of BattleCry5 Warriors has been posted at http://www.wpi.edu/News/Events/BattleCry/warriors.html

RAGE is looking forward to seeing everyone there.

A lot of the information on the team’s location in the warriors page is either inaccurate or out of date.

Hmm. RAGE is located in 5 High Schools, but since I put myself as the contact person with the Vernon Rockville, CT address, perhaps that information is what they are using to make the list.

That is correct. The info on the registration form is normally extracted automatically to the Warrior’s page. If you are not happy with the data that was submitted (it will be used again in the event programs and other media), please send corrections to [email protected].

Thanks, see you there!

Ken

this is awesome, a day and a half event! no way! I cant believe how late it’s going too! WOW! rounds till like 9:30! looks like WPI should invest in some Mountain Dew stock to keep the competitors awake!

We’ll have to get it at work :stuck_out_tongue:
I can’t wait! I’m probably going to drive the robot when I’m there too!

Where is there more information on this?!?!?! It’s no use driving 45 minutes both ways, but i can’t see to find the link to get to this housing option!

We hope to have all housing options online in a “Tactical Update” by Fri. We have confirmed that there will be about 150 bed spaces available on campus; we are now getting local hotels to provide us with their best rates. Additionally the update will include some news about the Fri barbeque and other activities!

Ken

Although I’m not sure if I myself am going this year, I know now that my team will, so all of you teams at the UTC regional who didn’t see the “armless” bobcat will have a chance. It sounds like it will be a fun time for all.

hmmm… I’m not sure if we (88) will be able to stay over night… That’s a little steep… hmmmm we shall see… I personally would love to go there for a 1 1/2 day comp!!! I can’t wait to see everyone at Battlecry… It should be amazing just like the years past…
