Battleship Blast Off-Season hosted by Team 3309 at LA Fleet Week

Back for it’s second year, Battleship Blast will dazzle the 200,000+ visitors of the 2019 LA Fleet Week during Labor Day Weekend. Come experience the unique opportunity to compete in the shadows of the USS Iowa Battleship in the Port of Los Angeles, San Pedro. Our robots will battle in the STEM Expo with many of our finest sea vessels there for public tours. We will run three one day competitions on a regulation Destination: Deep Space field to provide many opportunities for teams that can benefit from the early off-season event.

For those teams in the Southern California area who would like to join the fun, please complete this Battleship Blast Team Application and identify what days you can support (8/30-9/2).

If you are concerned about the cost, we are offering this experience for NO COST to allow teams with limited funds to take advantage of an off-season competition.

Please consider volunteering at Battleship Blast 8/31-9/2, to help provide a great experience for Southern California FRC teams. You will also have a great opportunity to explore all that LA Fleet Week has to offer (ship tours, military vehicles, aerial demo’s STEM Expo, etc). This is a great way to try out a volunteer position or get some experience in a low pressure event in case you decide to volunteer at a regional competition. The event will be run very similar to a regional, but each competition will be one day starting at 7:30 am and finishing before 4pm. You can volunteer for all three days or just 1-2 days.
