http://frcdirector.blogspot.com/ After reading this blog, i was wondering how many people actually sent in an idea? I did and i saved the email to prove next years game was my idea.
We discussed the Coast Guardās robotic water gamesā¦
Actual hint or red herring?
The fact that they mentioned it this early leads me to believe they are not going to do that.

Letās assume red herring. Think of the rookies ā No way on Earth will every rookie waterproof their robot perfectly. And Iād put money on veterans messing up, too.
Wonder whoās playing in Texas and whereā¦ ?
hmā¦
The Game Design Committee spent the weekend on the first floor here at 200 Bedford Street. We waded our way through your suggestions and have narrowed the field down to four game concepts, each with their own diabolical twist. We discussed the Coast Guardās robotic water games with Vince Wilczynski and wondered what we could do to make this yearās game the biggest and the best in order to celebrate FIRSTās 20th anniversary.
What is bolded in that paragraph is what sticks out to me. Connect them as you wish
(Thereās more to the blog post, but Iām sick of trying to find hints in the GDCās favorite foods)
Maybe if the people that sent in ideas would post them than we might be able to figure the game.
JC Penny is hosting a scrimmage for all of their store managers that are in Dallas today for their annual meeting. There are 8 teams attending from the area. 148 included. Mostly the managers are walking around checking out the robots in the pit area they have set up, but there will be 3 matches 2 vs. 2.

Thank you!
Thatās AWEsome!
I read this on the FIRST website: http://www.usfirst.org/aboutus/content.aspx?id=17361
It looks like a great opportunity.
Do you know the teams that have attended the scrimmage? I bet theyāve had a blast.
Thanks again, Adrienne!

As much as I donāt think were gunna get much out of them yet, as they still have 4 games left. However Iām sure there having fun teasing us with this post with some obvious hints at a water game.
http://frcdirector.blogspot.com/
Idk if this is a hint or notā¦ but they are no longer on the ground floor, look at the last paragraph
Itās not. The ground floor is where they do their āfunā activities, from what I hear, so it just means that theyāre off elsewhere doing other thingsālike thinking up the one rule that will be thrown out in Week 1 due to being totally unreasonable/unenforceable.
T49: Due to safety concerns, robot operators are not allowed to exceded 2.5 mph while approaching their controls during the start of the match. Anyone exceding this speed will recieve a yellow card on their first offense, and DQ for their second offense, and must wear the cone of shame for the rest of the day.:yikes:
It really is a tough job though that the GDC has having to consider that some 1800 teams will be testing their ideas and boundaries fo the rules.
Can you provide a frame of reference against which the 2.5 MPH restriction will be compared?
Our teamās strategy depends on this rule.
Itās an anagram for āWow Twitter Sandbags Ridgesā
Itās some pretty biting social commentary on Twitterās failed campaign to protect delicate coastal areas from the BP Oil Spill by filling sand bags with narcissistic egos. The project was doomed when they realized narcissistic egos are ninety nine percent hot air.
FIRSTās first floor is where the FLL camps and displays are, and I believe they just recently finished FLL training week with mentors from around the country. Second floor I would think is offices and 3rd and 4th are questionable. I know that millyard building is shared with a bank (3rd or 4th floor).
So I think Bill was being mean by refering to all the FLL trainees as dinosaurs!
