Hey ChiefDelphi! A few months back my team switched to Discord as our main form of communication. During the switch, I came up with a couple of ideas that would make our team a little more efficient and Discord a bit easier to work with. To implement these, I created BeʳᵗBot. He started as a Discord bot that would handle a few commands for our server, but he quickly expanded to a tool that helps to manage tasks both inside and outside of Discord. I definitely hope to improve some more things and continue to add features, but here is a sneak peek at a couple of things that he currently features:
- Moderation suite (currently expanding)
- GUI interface for configuration
-
scoreboard
- Meeting notifications
- TBA integration
- Suite of random FRC related commands
- Much, much more
As of right now, BeʳᵗBot is not a “public” bot with a simple installation link. However, you can easily set him up and host him on glitch.com using the instructions here. No download is needed to set him up, but I am working to simplify the setup process so if anyone has worked with Discord bots like this before, please message me!
The best part about BeʳᵗBot is he is going to be continually developed, updated, and will be created based on user feedback. Obviously, all of his code is public, so feel free to fork it at any time, but I also have a public Trello board and Discord server, both of which I check and update constantly.
