My dad bought about 60 or so beach balls for Atlanta, you know to play around with. And me and this kid Matt were tossing around the idea of writing things on them. I than thought to myself maybe someone on CD would like me to write a message to someone for them on the beach ball. Or I could give you the beach ball to write a message. Just an idea, let me know. Also they have to be appropriate messages.
Hm…perhaps you could just write a big ol’ “PROG!” for team 25.
Sounds good. I will write that and find one of you in Atlanta and let you get it.
It’s always fun to through around some beach balls, especially in bleachers.
Although, does anyone know about the balloons during the award ceremony at NASA/VCU Regional? I’m not sure exactly what they’re called (someone can help me out here), but those were a lot of fun to play with.

Awesome idea! I thought for a little bit about what I’d want to put on one. So…
Could you write “Mahalo” on one of them? (as a tribute to the first FIRST Hawaiian regional).
Thanks.
Hmm. We’ll bring purple sharpies to the stands. Dunno what we’ll say yet. I’m sure one of the 300 teams has markers for handouts…I think we got a black sharpie with a team’s # on it last year. That’d be pretty cool to have ppl sign the balls and keep them bouncing on.
I have a simple request that they NOT be thrown around during the awards anouncements in Atlanta…like the balloons at VCU…
“When I grow up, I wanna be a Trackball”
Beach balls, 1370, the blue charge, threw those into the crowd as they were called on the field at every. It carried on even to championships, but we were asked kindly not to throw them due to the fact they could fly onto the field, and mess up a match. We had so many that we started to hand out deflated ones with messages encouraging different teams. “Good luck from-1370 cavalators” (the name they had before blue charge) “Hope you are having a great time” “great robot” so on and so forth, we ended up finding one that other people added onto the beach ball. It was a fun thing to do, and the stands loved them! Great idea!
lol. I guess I’d want something like “Turn Up the PWN!” I have a team in mind to give this to.
one one side write OINK OINK, and on the other side write…
anyone???
BOOM!
Beach balls helped get the crowd through the 3 hour delay this year at the Peachtree Regional in GA. Everybody enjoyed hitting them around while we were waiting for the technical problems to be corrected.
