Team Packets were sent out today with the below information:
Hello Teams,
Beach Blitz is a little over a week away! Please review this entire email for information and updates.
Attached you will find a team packet which will include, an event schedule, parking map, event map, rule changes, concessions details, workshop/panel schedules.
Event Schedule
Please review the event schedule attached in the Team Packet file. We have made some recent changes including the addition of Friday night workshops.
Parking
There is significant construction happening at the venue. Please see the attached parking map and review it carefully. IMPORTANT: If you are bringing a trailer, please park in the Trailer Parking Area. We encourage everyone to carpool if possible as we are limited on space. Please park in areas designated on the map only. Parking outside these areas is at your own risk. If you have any questions about construction or parking, please let us know.
Load In (Friday Night)
Please carefully review the venue and parking maps to ensure you are loading in at the correct area at the venue. There is no limit on the number of people loading in.
We will also be taking robot photos for RoboSports Network on Friday night. All teams must have their robot photographed on Friday night.
If your team is unable to load in on Friday, please let us know as soon as possible so that we do not consider you a no-show.
Concessions
We have many concessions available at Beach Blitz such as pizza, pasta, cheeseburgers, philly cheese steaks, ice cream, snacks and more! Please review the team packet to view all meal options available.
Merchandise
If you pre-ordered any Beach Blitz Merchandise, please pick up your order at the Merchandise Table in the Gym.
We will have extra shirts, hats, and sunglasses for sale at the event for those who did not pre-order. You can view the merchandise available for sale here.
Live Stream
The event will have a live stream broadcasted on Twitch and Periscope for those interested in sharing this competition to anyone who cannot make it to the competition in-person.
RoboSports Network will be providing live commentary during the event as well as broadcasting online.
Event Map
Please review the full venue map which includes pit layouts as well as workshop locations in the team packet.
Match Schedule
In the team packet, you will find the preliminary match schedule. All teams will have 10 matches. If we have a last minute change to the roster, this schedule will change. The match schedule will be live on thebluealliance.com soon.
Robot Help Desk/Radios
This year, we are introducing Robot Help Desks in each pit location. At each of these desks, you will be able to find Control Systems Advisors, Mechatronics Systems Advisors, team 599’s Robot First Aid booth, and the radio configuration kiosks. Please program your radios before coming to the field for your first match (practice or official).
To minimize match connectivity issues, we ask all teams to use Static IP addresses on their robots and driver stations. Please configure your equipment in advance using these instructions.
Workshops and Panels
This year we will be hosting workshops and panels on Friday and Saturday nights. Please review the attached team packet for more information. We have a lot of new presenters and topics this year.
Rule Updates
We will be following all Chezy Champs 2019 Rule Changes except Beach Blitz will be playing with three team alliances for playoffs. You will find these updates in the team packet attached.
