Made a statbotics hypothetical event with all the invited teams except the pre-rookie. Looks like, as always, Beach Blitz this year will be one heck of a show.

We are excited to be back. Looks like a great list of teams as usual and it should be a nice competitive event. Just confirmed and paid. :call_me_hand:

One thing to consider… some teams (like ours) will be bringing radically different robots than the ones we conpeted with this past season

The real question: How many 2910 clones (hand or more) will we see? Place your bets now, insider knowledge fully legal.

When will information on rule changes (if any) be posted?

Rule changes were sent out in the invitation email, but can also be found here.

It is essentially the Chezy rule change set + 5 link sustainability bonus threshold + an explicit ban on yelling ā€œRobotā€ .

Based.

This is, after all my years, my proudest contribution to the event.

Maybe I need to get a special card to hand out to violators. An orange card, not quite red, but more than yellow. Let them know: we hear you, we see you, we know who you are :eyes: speak carefully

Take the air out of some air horns and hand those out. The bigger the better.

Instead of saying robot ill use this instead

(Thats a train horn FYI)(also a joke)

Emphasis mine

[BB8] No yelling ā€œRobot.ā€ When moving about the venue, participants and attendees are prohibited from yelling ā€œrobotā€ (or alternatives) in an attempt to make their presence known or clear a path. Yelling anything in the pits or queue, except for in cases of immediate danger, will be considered a violation of rule E604. Noisemaking safety devices are permitted only if they do not violate E109. Determining if yelling is for an immediate safety purpose is at the sole discretion of Beach Blitz Committee Members.

Sincerely,
The primary person who will be enforcing this rule

So I shouldn’t figure out how to mount my sound-equipped model trains on robot carts? Those aren’t that loud…
