Heating batteries is wild.:moyai:

Can we get any further details about the process and how long the claimed effects last?

Hi im writing this on behalf of our teams battery manger and here’s what he had to say

“So before champs we were noticing decent performance with our batteries but we were looking to improve upon that. After some research and personal experience with having devices that have been in cold weather, we found that batteries performed better in warmer conditions. We decided that for champs we would test using a heating pad to warm up our batteries, and comparing the performance. After champs I did a brief study with a battery. I took a battery and removed it from the charger for 10 minutes, I then used a battery beak on said battery and looked at its overall condition. It read a resistance of 20 milliohms. We also used that battery for practice at our field. By the end of our second practice match the battery was browning out. The next day I used the same battery on the same charger but during the 10 minutes it was off the charger I put it in the heating blanket. After the 10 minute period the battery beaked at 15 milliohms of resistance. It ran 3 practice matches and started to brown out mildly towards the end of the third practice match. I am unsure of any true long term effects of this practice but the batteries that we do use this on seem to maintain their performance. Thanks for the question. -Jonathan from 2659”
