Holy snap. “We browned out the radio” took literally a split second to see that. Insane driver training.
But isn’t a radio reboot 40s long?
All i saw was a RSL disconnect, driver glancing down at the laptop and immediately pulling the robot back to score
browning out doesn’t always mean a full reboot. the driver could also be commenting on the robot coms going out for a moment, which can be caused by more than robot radio issues. this is also the only thing the driver could know for sure in the moment, with drivers station having a robot coms status light.
They later touched on the battery being bad. Your comment reminds me of a time which i was driving our robot and it browned out, which i also assumed was due to poor battery charge as it did hop back to life some seconds later.
A curious omission from the Golden Rules…
