Behold IT's Ugliness

Shield your eyes, do not look directly at the robot… such cases of direct eye contact have resulted in tears, nausea, and general discomfort. Who knew aluminum and lexan could be so ugly?

IT has one solid goal grabber whose grip, once perfectly achieved, cannot be broken. We have 4 wheel drive, and our front 2 wheels are going to be replaced with high-traction custom machined wheels at Nationals. When we lock on to a goal, our back wheels are raised off the ground, providing a tight turn radius when we’re latched on to a goal, and also increasing traction. Our drivetrain consists of two chiaphuas alone, geared down to achieve 8 or 9 feet per second on the field.

Our main objectives are to be a fluid, utterly reliable robot. We can fullfill almost any objective given to us on the field, and our strategists got us through VCU with the 1 Alliance trophy (5th seed overall at VCU). We work well with virtually every other type of robot (goal grabber, ball loader, mixture of the two…).

If the image didn’t come through in the code, I’m also attaching it to the message.
