I’m new to Chief Delphi, how do you get the Curie Division Finalist and Curie Division (for example only) to appear when you post to the forums? Our team was a Curie Division Finalist and in the Curie Division in Steamworks but as well the Archimedes in our Rookie Year (Aerial Assist) so I want to show that under my name (to brag) but I don’t know how.
Grap the appropriate images from this thread and place them in your signature.
Note that some sort of restriction on signatures is known to exist for new users (not sure if it is time based or post based).
Alternatively, if you can’t find the userbar you want, you can steal it out of someone else’s signature by right clicking, “copy image address”, and using the appropriate formatting tags (shown in the post I linked above).
That’s a signature. The userbars are created by different users (and obviously I don’t have them in mine, but others may know where to look for them).
You may need a few posts under your belt before you can get a signature, as we’ve had issues with spam in the past in there. A private message to Brandon Martus may get you more answers on the precise threshold there.
Also, welcome!
I would love to know the threshold. Still waiting…
Thanks everyone for helping, but… How do I go to edit signature?
Sorry, just realized answers given to me… I’m not very observative.
The current consensus is that it’s a combination of time and posts. I got it at exactly 50 but I have heard of people getting it as low as 20 and as high as 100.
Well, I guess I’ll add one more post to my count. Those signatures are cool!
I would love to have one.
I does seem to be a combination of time and posts… I mean I got my ability to have a signature in less than 40 posts, but I’ve been on CD since the beginning of this year. They must have some sort of algorithm for it.
Guess I’ll be making more posts then. Thanks everyone!
If I remember right, a few friends of mine had this issue. I believe I directed them to Private Message Brandon Martus and he was able to enable the signature feature. I’m not sure if he likes the PMs but, I would try him if you want it now.
spam.
It’s to prevent spam. It’s common for a spambot to write a post, and then either edit links in, or place links in a signature later. This prevents those strategies by requiring people to become active members of the community before they can edit posts and have signatures.
