Hello, Mr. Pepe Ga,

I wish to inquire upon your novel design, “Best Gear Box.” It appears to me that there are 8 motors, but the PDP has 16 slots. It has come to my attention that the “Best Gear Box” should use the maximum power available, and therefore requires slots for all 16 motors.

Yours truly,
Clayton

Nice. That’s only $800 in motors and motor controllers. Truly innovative.

Where can I order this revolutionary design?

It is truly amazing and humbling to see the incredible innovation today’s students are achieving. Such great minds, in a few short years I imagine they will be light years ahead of the robots of my time.

Dear Mr. Pepe Ga,

I have noticed that you have lightened the “Best Gear Box”, but it is not as light as it could be. May I suggest adding the isogrid lightening pattern to the motors and the wires?

With love,
Karthik

Good day Mr. Pepe Ga,

It has come to my attention that the belt does not have teeth. This is an integral part and it must not be forgotten.

Best wishes,

The unfortunate lack of Falcon motors is preventing me from fully supporting this design. In the future, I would love to see this design applied to the only motor I will ever need.

Mr. Pepe Ga
While I admire the design, the large gears have a distinct lack of isogrid. I would suggest that you correct this grievous oversight.
Have a nice day,

Came here for a good gearbox, stayed for an engineering marvel…

The Dynamo was more of an an interactive art piece/social experiment imo. I’ll stick to the birds for the moment.

Excellent!

This will raise the bar on “damn the torpedoes” defense. Should be a winner in New England.

My brushless motor of choice is the ebm|papst 40mm fan found in FIRST Choice and on Victor 888 motor controllers. It’s not the best thing since wheels like the Dynamo from “the 'Dec” as the kids say or the only motor you’ll ever need like the Falcon from Rack Solutions, but as the longest standing legal brushless motor, it has a proven track record unlike its competitors.

You need the rest of the slots for the other side.

Ah, the 2002 maneuver. A bold strategy. I like it.

How to dominate like 71 in 2002:

  1. Get a grip.
  2. Advance steadily toward victory.

Speed isn’t needed but a quick start is. After that, three inches per second is plenty fast enough.
