Who had the best stacker in the 2003 Stack Attack season?
Who were the fastest stackers?
Who made the tallest stack in a match?
I would have to say the best pure stacker was a tie between Moe and Code Red… the fastest, however, seemed to be 236. They could stack on-the-run and often made a 2 stack in less than 5 seconds…
About the tallest stack, you can find a discussion about it here http://www.chiefdelphi.com/forums/showthread.php?threadid=19558
my favorite stackers (based on above criterion) are:
high-> 1114,74,365,945 <-low
my absoulte favorite is Moe 365. they were awsome at it
but then agian i guess my second favorite is the little know stacking machine, team 25’s robot, which spent more time breaking bins than stacking them
1114 and 212 (It was the Dirty Birds…not sure on the number) but I watched them take a small stack of 2 or 3 and turn it into a stack of 6 during a practice round in almost no time at all…impressive
dirty birds is 213
212 is race robotics (winners of central florida regional)
My vote for best stacker has to go to team 1114. They were the only team to make a stack seven successfully in a match. They also had a simple but very effective box uprighting device. Considering the difficult nature of stacking and the fact that they were a rookie team, their accomplishments this season deserve even more praise.

A) Team 1114 for overall
B) 1114, 639, 365 for speed (in that order)
C) Team 1114 (we were in a match with them with stack of 7, 244 points)
I think that all the stacking teams deserve a round of applause. I personally think that 1114 did a wonderful job, seeing that they were a new team. Seeing stacker’s in action was a wonderful thing. Maybe there can be an exhibition of the stacker’s, now that would be a fun thing to watch. I can’t wait to see what 1114 does next year, after pulling of the stacker this year.
i can’t decide between the home team 73 vissioners or the good old canada friends 1114 but cant forget 461 purdue
My favorite is 624 Cryptonite
To me the main skill for stacking was being able to hold on to the stack. If we ever finished our stacker programming, we would have been hard to beat
Cudos to 365 and 461 for their stacking bots
definitely 1114 for their bot. they totally rocked.
and thanks to them for picking us as an alliance at the canadian regionals!!
I would say team 67, for the simple region that their wedge on the back and the masterful driving made it virtually impossible to knock the bins out. My next vote would go for 1114.
The techno ticks (236) really impressed me with their ability to stack two very very quickly.

I forgot about 67. They had a great bot. For those of you who didn’t get a chance to see their wedge, here is a picture of it.
From the ones i saw (and I didn’t see many) I’d have to go with 213…
I always liked our stacker cause of the moving stacker and all, but there are 2 others that were easily the best.
236…pure speed and amazing stacking abilities I spent an hour or so with their coach on saturday of Nats, and we went through tape of their stacking mechanism, it was darn cool. And their robot doubled up as an awesome sweeper. This robot was very overlooked.
But… if you wanted to go with a high stack, it HAD to be team 67. They made stacks so quickly and effortlessly, it was amazing. At West Michigan there was one team that said that their entire strategy was to try to tip this bot from the side, but the drivers were so awesome that they never let anyone hit them from the side, they really knew the capabilities of their robot inside and out. That anti-flip / wedge / box orienter was really cool too.

I think that they were one of the most feared. I know I was watching them every time I could get a chance. I have even watched some of the videos from their matches. I still consider them more of a stack stealer then a stack builder. I always found it amusing when a stack was stolen by another team, and to see it used against the team that built it. Just another fun thing to see happen. Once again… Good Job to team 67.
I’m from team 67 and i just wanted to say thank you to all of the teams that have said such sweet things about us. Y’all are so nice!!! I loved a lot of the other bots, especially some of the other stackers. Probably my favorite was the team that made that HUGE stack at nationals. I think it was #1114, but I’m not sure. Anyways, whoever it was had a sweet bot, and all of the bots I saw this year had at least one really cool feature.
We spent about 1 min in a practice round making a stack of 2. Now that’s an accomplishment for our machine…maybe i can find a picture of it somewhere.
