Hi for teams who has competed this weekend. How did you attach your rope to the davit. We will be using a regular diamond braided rope which is 5/8 inch in diameter.

Ok so this is extremely hard to explain but if you look at the davit as two posts sticking out right next to each other, what you need to do is go up with the rope right in between them, go over the left one and back to the middle, push it behind the x that’s now in between the two posts from over top, wrap it around the middle of the x once so it’s in front again facing up, and put the pin back to old it in place. It’s kind of difficult to explain, but that’s how one of the inspectors told us to do it after our rope slipped out of the davit during our first match.
