Black friday deals

What black Friday deals are you getting for your team?

I just picked up an electric jack (that hooks to the truck) for the robot trailer for $115. Super excited to not have to stand in the cold and crank anymore.

So I was wondering if anyone else got (or was planning to get) any deals on anything else for the team. I’m thinking now might be a good time to look for tools or toolboxes.

Now is a good time to invest in the Milwaukee line of tools, buy two batteries and get a free tool! https://www.homedepot.com/p/Milwaukee-M18-18-Volt-Lithium-Ion-XC-Starter-Kit-with-Two-5-0Ah-Batteries-and-Charger-48-59-1852B/320379720

I made a run to the states to pickup another 10 of these dewalt organizers:

We got them at this price last year over black friday, and was ecstatic to see them go on sale again this year. Amazing units for storing small parts like nuts, bolts, electrical connectors, Ultra and MAX Planetaries etc., and at $13 USD each, you cant beat the price!

We use those same ones. Guess I’ll have to make a troop to the store myself.

Instead of quality you can go for quantity. A drill and driver at Walmart costs $40. Hyper Tough 12V Max* Cordless 2-Tool Drill and Impact Driver Combo Kit, 98936 - Walmart.com

You can just buy 4 sets of these (8 tools)

And buy them all again in 3 months, if they last that long.

I don’t think we’re doing much as a team for Black Friday deals, we rarely do.

Torque test channel did a test on a couple of those tools. Let’s just say they didn’t perform half as good as a Milwaukee and a lot of Amazon brands out performed them. I guess they will work if you aren’t using them much and want to wait a whole day for them to charge(they use a barrel jack to charge)

I just picked up a couple of Logitech controllers on Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B003VAHYQY?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details

I wondered how the onn 7 android tablets for $29 at Walmart would potentially be for scouting. onn. 7" Tablet, 32GB (2022 Model) , 2.0 GHz Quad-Core Processor, Charcoal - Walmart.com

I’ll toss this Amazon deal into the ring for dirt-cheap power tools. I have used this one and it is ridiculously good for $22.

A local 3D printing store is running a Black Friday sale:

These all look like decent deals, especially the printer bundles, so I figured I’d shout them out on here. Note that shipping may offset what you save depending on where you are, so check out your own local stores too!

Bumping this since they’re doing a holiday sale now:

The main reason I’m posting is because the FilamentOne PLA Pro deal looks excellent since it’s buy two, get one free and it’s currently discounted - that’s 3 rolls of filament for $30 plus shipping. (Or you can pick it up if you’re in the area… All 2 people on here who are)

We’ve got our Thriftmas sale running for a few more days. Hex bearings make a great stocking stuffer!

I picked up some of these organizers as well. The larger bins aren’t useful for most of our hardware so I designed these printable replacement bins

It turns out the same organizers are sold under the ‘Stanley Fatmax’ brand, so the accessories for that should work the same.
