Is blocking the other alliance’s robots from shooting viable? What are some potential risks?
Don’t go over height, don’t hit them when they’re contacting the Podium. Don’t hit them if either of you are in the Amp Zone.
Otherwise, good luck and good hunting… but it may be difficult to stop the shots.
Likely. If you run the calculations, most shots opponents are blockable if your robot is maximum height, including shots from the protected zone and from higher shooters. You can use your climbers to get the extra height.
Do also remember that blocking shots is not the only way to play defense, but should be used in addition to traditional defensive maneuvers such as rotating and pushing the opposing robots to prevent them from lining up their shots.
