Has anybody else run into this problem? With the rotating light wired as per the documentation, as soon as we connect the battery, the 20A fuse on the relay blows. We’ve triple-checked all our wiring, and there doesn’t appear to be any wires damaged or connected in a way that would cause problems. Any ideas?

Open up the light housing and see if the positive terminal is shorting to the housing. Also, make sure it’s mounted on Lexan or something else to insulate it from the robot body (ground fault, maybe?). Have you tried another spike?

We’ve tried a few different spikes, and about 10 fuses so far…I actually called Eric earlier today, and he mentioned making sure we didn’t have a ground fault, but didn’t say anything about checking inside the housing…I’ll pass this along to our pit crew, still hard at work tweaking the machine…luckily(?) the drayage site for our first event(Great Lakes) is just on the other side of town, so we can just drive it over there.
