So, we are a bit more than half way through the build season… How far do you think your team will go?
I really hope we make world’s. We have made the best robot we have ever made and we still have 2 weeks, we have submitted chairman’s for the second time, and we are competing in a week 0 event for the first time. We also submitted for the wild card and have 8 entries.
We shall see.
This will be by far our heftiest bot. Even though we are always 119.999999 pounds, this bot has armor, tracks, and motors… wow does it have motors. Also first robot in years without a compressor. We should not be pushed around much this year.
I really, really hope we go to Worlds. I’m confident in my team’s electrical, mechanical, and programming, and I know we’re doing our best. We’ve done really well this year, and even if we don’t go to Worlds, I’m just super proud of my team in general.
I look forward to seeing your monster in action. We won’t be pushing you. Maybe running away …
But will your bumpers weigh the full 20 pounds? If so your total weight could be as much as 154 lbs!
Interesting. It looks like either its harder to win a District championship than the World champs, or no one from a District believes that they have a lock on the World champs.
You can only pick one option in the poll. Any team that expects to win their district championship should expect to be no worse then an alliance captain at Championship.
Our goal:
Get to worlds, or if not that be dominant at the DCMP. Everyone on our team is really excited this year and we have really high hopes for going farther than we have before.
I think this is fairly good expectation. I ran the numbers and of last year’s district champs winners, 40% were alliance captains at champs.
Michigan showed the most impressive numbers with 2/3 of the MI champs going to Einstein.
Also, team #0001 is from MI. It doesn’t mean much but they have been around since they started making team numbers permanent.
Competing in a week 0 event is usually a good indicator that your team has their stuff together, and teams that have their stuff together usually have a good chance at doing well throughout the season. Best of luck to you.
Our team is pretty confident that we’re going to worlds. Winning worlds is less likely, but there’s a very high chance we’re at least going there, and that we’ll put on a good performance.
Same. No pneumatics here. Just many, many motors.
