Bookmarking/Favorite threads

A new build season has started and I once again find myself scouring CD for those threads that have the information I read once (usually at about 11pm) and now need. That’s when an idea for a feature popped into my head – the ability to bookmark threads.
There are threads that have tons of useful info (the FP/banebots one, nothing but dewalts, etc.) that I’m constantly referring back to.
It would be very handy to save those threads in a favorites list or something similar.
I know everyone is crazy busy now and there’s no way it’ll happen this season, just a suggestion for the future.

At the top of each thread, there’s a drop down menu called “Thread Tools”. Click on that and you’ll see three options: “View Printable Version”, “Email This Thread”, or “Subscribe to This Thread”. Click “Subscribe” to bookmark it.

From there, you can choose how to receive notifications about posts made (or no notifications) and what folder the thread will go in.

To view threads you have subscribed to, go to your User CP and you should see all of them under “New Subscribed Threads”. If you click “View All Subscribed Threads” (bottom right corner of that box) you can see and add different folders to sort them.

Silly me, I should have known. I subscribe to threads all the time, I just never thought to create another folder and keep the good ones in there.

I believe ‘folders’ is a relatively new improvement to the subscribed threads feature of vBulletin.
