Volunteers Needed:
Indiana *FIRST *is building up our volunteer base to prepare for adaptation to the District Competition system. We are especially in need of people to train for referees and scorekeepers. This is a great role for alumni and adult family-members of FIRST students. PLEASE sign up if you are interested in learning these roles. We will train and help you through it.

Looks like 10 teams have already signed up. IIRC, there were only 16 (15?) teams last year so this seems like a great improvement.

71	Team Hammond Hammond School System
461	Westside Boiler Invasion	West Lafayette HS
1024	Kil-A-Bytes McKenzie Center for Innov. & Tech
1529	CyberCards Southport High School
1720	PhyXTGears -
2197	Las Pumas New Prairie High School
3176	Purple Precision Brownsburg High School
3180	Blaise of Glory Indian Creek
3266	Robots R Us Eaton / Richmond High School
4580	BDGiants Ben Davis High School

3266 had a great time last year, and we’re looking forward to coming back. The alliance selection process, as frustrating as it can be, is totally unique and was a deciding factor when we were choosing whether or not to return. We just hope the seeding gods smile kindly on us this year.

See you all there!

Alas, the TechnoKats have a prior commitment that day. We’re hosting the FIRST Lego League “City of FIRSTs” Qualifying Tournament.

The Goats will be there to defend our win!

I just want to emphasize that you do not need any prior experience reffing in order to sign up as a ref! We have an AWESOME head ref at this event, Jason Miller, coming all the way from Michigan who will help walk everyone through it.

We really want to use this event as a way to train as many people as we can. All we require is that you’re 18 or older. If you try it at this event, there’s no pressure. So please sign up if you think you’re interested. :]

Thanks!

Signed Up to volunteer.

It’s two days away! Our rookies are very excited to get another taste of competition.
