Brad Miller just released a series of 6 video tutorials for RobotBuilder, and I started watching them. One of the first things that sparked my attention was a mention of the 2013 game: “We have intel on what the game is this year – we understand that it’s taking cylindrical objects and stacking them on rectangular objects.” Also in the video is an image of a “CAD model of a robot that could play that game” which appears to be placing a thermos mug on a box. The video is here:
This seems to be the first concrete hint at what the 2013 game will look like – any thoughts?
EDIT: Watching the whole video, this is obviously just a hypothetical game he made up for demonstration purposes. Too much hype made me gullible, I guess.
The people that know anything don’t say anything. This means that people saying anything, especially clearly, don’t necessarily know anything about the game. (People hiding their knowledge under multiple layers of hints… well, no comment.)
I think everyone who knows intel about the game probably signed an NDA of some sorts…which implies that they’d be A LOT more careful about even slightly revealing the game. Also, the picture of the robot(at least the one in the beginning-I only skimmed through the video) looks to be a photograph with effects over it. It could easily have been some internal team, “let’s make up a game and practice designing”.
And, the red robot used in the Robot Builder program looks to be from the Rebound Rumble animation.
What I’m more interested in knowing is that is there a place where all of these resources are being compiled? I had no idea about any of this information until I see someone on CD post about it…
If you’re asking what I think you’re asking(which is “Where are all these video tutorials compiled?”), my assumption is that these will be compiled to the KOP website along with the usual manuals and documentations once all the kit info and documentation(ie. the inventory) is posted online. Similar to those “Field Tour” videos last year.
